Respite Care

Over 50 million people in the United States alone are selflessly caring for loved ones at home. When these family members or friends themselves need support, we can provide “respite care,” which is a short break from the demands of caregiving. When the primary caregivers have to schedule their own doctor’s appointments, an out-of-town trip, a medical procedure, etc., Community Hospice can keep the patient at the Hospice House for five consecutive nights for each respite care stay. We are pleased to be able to provide a patient’s caregivers with days of relief in the form of skilled hospice worker services as often as necessary.

  • To our friends at Community Hospice, As I reflect on the last year, one memory that stands out is the care mom received from everyone involved with hospice. When her life became difficult, hospice was always one step ahead of her, easing the way. How fortunate she was to have so many compassionate people to care for her. We met many special people. Thank you again to each one of you.

  • Words cannot possibly or adequately express how much you meant to our family during the hospice stay for daddy. I praise the Lord that he brought you into our lives. You are such special people with a gift that could only come from the Lord. You made daddy's illness a little easier for us to bear. The hospice facility is so beautiful and has such a homey feel. We will miss you and the kind nurses. Daddy loved you all and so do we. May God continue to bless you and your family. P.S. It means so much for you to go to the visitation and daddy's funeral!
    Sincerely, The C Family
  • To all, Words cannot begin to express how much we appreciate all the things you did for Nancy and for us during her death but especially during her illness. You have been so kind and thoughtful.
